On Black Awareness Day, the Conversa com Bial program on Tuesday, November 20th, remembered the life of Nelson Mandela – who would have turned 100 in 2018 if he were alive. A lawyer, rebel leader, president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, and winner of the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize, he was imprisoned for 27 years due to racial segregation in his country.
