As her childhood best friend prepares to depart for the US, a college student navigates her academic pursuits, strained family relationships, and a growing dread of the inevitable goodbye. ‘Sandy’ is a film about grief, memory, and how sometimes life forces you to bend into uncomfortable shapes as you go through it. Entirely self-funded and shot over two years in Davao City and Panabo City, it’s a love letter to the places and people we lose...or that lose us.
